36 Weeks!

The baby really could come at anytime now, next week she’s really considered full-term!!!  There are some days when I think she just wants out and could what’s the term, just “fall out,” but then there are other days where I think she’s fully content to stay in and keep cooking!  I have been very lucky with this pregnancy, nothing too major has gone wrong, except for the beginning.  It has been kind of nice getting to know this little one from the inside, but it would be nice to finally get to meet her and see who she looks most like or what kind of personality she has!  But I’ll try to be patient, relax and get some sleep (since people keep telling me too), so that’s what I’ll do!

How far along?  36 Weeks!

Total weight gain:  I go to the doctors today (weigh-in TBA)

Maternity clothes?:  yuppers, tank-tops and shorts or dresses from this point out!

Have you started to show yet:  This really is a stupid question at this point…people stare at me now in public!

Symptoms:  Just congestion at nigh time and sore hips, makes it uncomfortable to sleep/lay down for long periods of time.

Stretch marks?: Nope! YAY!

Sleep:  Off & on…

Best moment this week:  Nesting…hahaha, you all laugh, but getting laundry done, the room ready and all the little things accomplished makes me feel good!

Miss Anything?  Moving :p

Movement:  Yup, but I bet it’s getting cramped in there for her.

Food cravings:  Still cereal at this point, though I had the best Roast Beef sandwich yesterday, (Henry VIII), so yummy!

Anything making you queasy or sick:  Not really at this point….

Gender: Girl!  And I think we have a name for her, but don’t ask what it is, I won’t tell ya!

Labor Signs:  I’m nervous for this one now…because I have no idea when, where, how, it’s all going to start!

Belly Button in or out?  Flat, flat, flat!  Maybe even trying to pop out!

Wedding rings on or off?  Still on.

Happy or Moody most of the time:  Happy 🙂  but anxious!

Looking forward to:  Today’s doctors appointment, maybe they will tell me something about when she plans to arrive!  Oh and meeting her of course!

35 Weeks: Move Over Royal Baby!

35 weeks

Congratulations to the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge on the arrival of their little boy (Future King-cue The Lion Kind music)…it would have been nice to share the same birthday with the little Prince, but unfortunately this little “princess”is still going strong and has another 4-5 weeks of cooking…oh well!  But I was right, she would & did go on the full moon!  Lucky for us there will not be any pop and circumstance or stupid photographers (except for her mama of course!) on the day she comes, but she’ll have some excited fans non-the-less!!

How far along?  35 Weeks (one more week and I’ll be 9 Months!!!)

Total weight gain:  32lbs

Maternity clothes?:  I just went out to buy more tank-tops!  It’s hot out there!!!

Have you started to show yet:  Yes and every time I see people they remind me!  I get it, there’s a baby in there!

Symptoms:  Been feeling a little under the weather; I’m blaming my mom, sorry mom!  Usually at the end of the day my back tightens up, but feeling pretty good!

Stretch marks?: Not that I know of!

Sleep:  I’m indifference to sleep…I can’t wait to get back to “normal” and yes I know, instead of a big belly making my life uncomfortable, there will be a screaming child, but at least I’ll be so exhausted that all I’ll want to do is sleep!

Best moment this week:  Seeing my mom & dad and sisters, I miss them so much and it was nice to just kick back and relax with them!  My baby shower was fun and continuing to see her move about in my tummy is amazing!  (I like it when I can feel her little feet kick me–it’s sweet now…)

Miss Anything?  Sure, but I only have 5 weeks to deal with it!

Movement:  There are days where I think she wants to come out she moves so much!

Food cravings:  Cereal still…it’s easy & light!

Anything making you queasy or sick:  Not really, post nasal drip, sorry tmi.

Gender: Girl!  And she still doesn’t have a name…but we’re working on it!

Labor Signs:  No, not yet, but still get tightness every so often.

Belly Button in or out?  Flat, flat, flat, it wants to pop out, but I doubt it will.

Wedding rings on or off?  Still on, but I had to take it off a few times, it’s been so humid that I’m afraid it will get stuck.

Happy or Moody most of the time:  I’ve been more emotional these past few days, I tend to cry at a drop of a hat now a days…my poor husband.

Looking forward to:  Organizing the baby’s room, yay!  And we have 2 more birthing classes, they have been very helpful and full of knowledge, I just hope I retain what I learn so our birthing experience will go smoothly!  But like she told us in class, expect the unexpected (always)!

Yup, the baby is STILL in there!

Showered with Gifts & Love

This past weekend my amazing sisters and best friend Danielle threw me a beautiful baby shower!  They had been planning this for quite some time and have been very secretive about the whole thing, which was cause for concern!!  Like when your friend asks you for innocent photos of you and dad-to-be…and then do this…

My cousin Alex insisted the party be at her house and for good reason, we got a lot of great stuff!!!  The day was very overwhelming, but it a good way, I was so blessed to be surrounded by great family & friends!Baby Shower1

Of course the day didn’t go without hiccups, my twin sister and her boyfriend found themselves stranded on the side of the road in Mass. with car trouble and ended up missing the whole party; a mimosa was spilled all over me, luckily I was wearing a jersey dress and it dried quickly, but it was disappointing knowing I smelled like alcohol and didn’t consume any; And apart from being the center of attention and trying to keep back all the water-works, the party was wonderful!  The food was great, the company was perfect and the entertainment with all the little kiddos & cousins running around was fun!  I couldn’t have asked for a better day!

The running joke of the day to was we were all wearing blue…let’s hope this little one is still a girl!!!

My beautiful friend Danielle, (from Two Red Birthstones) was acting photographer for the day and she did an amazing job, I have loved watching her grow as a photographer!  Read her post here about my special day!

My sister was being funny…Think of this as a before & after shot!
