And I totally forgot, I will be showing 2 of my photographs in a Photography Exhibit this weekend at the Haverhill Public Library!
Library Hosts “Body of Light” Photography Exhibit in February.
The public library’s February art show “Body of Light” runs Feb 6-Mar 1, 2012 in the second floor gallery. The public is invited to attend a reception on Feb. 6 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. (Haverhill Public Library, 99 Main Street, Haverhill MA 01830)
The body of work represents the effort and outcome of the Northern Essex Community College Beginning Photography and Advanced Photography Continuing Education classes. Self-chosen for technique, composition or personal connection, these singular pieces exhibit each student’s mechanical achievement and individual growth as a photographer.
Through a series of projects, students were challenged to reach out of their photographic comfort zone and interpret light as a compositional tool. By studying and recording each scenario, the students realized the potential of each photograph through practical application. Finally, by layering information upon application the bar was raised with each weekly project. The results were noticeable benchmarks of individual achievement.
Photographs are available for viewing all hours that the Library is open to the public: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
To purchase any photograph, contact the photographer directly or Jennifer Lyons at 978-373-1586, Ext. 617.
